Recommendation: I would recommend this book to anyone that loves stories that are phenomenal. This is a book about inspiration it gives hope to anyone who needs it.
Summary: This is a book about a Latino man was living of the streets and he builds his way up to become a successful judge. This book was truly amazing because Andrew Valdez was just a guy that was living off the streets selling news papers for a few cents. And with the help of a man named Jack we went into tennis. While he was doing tennis he competed in tournaments and he was great at it too. But he was also a trouble maker he got in to fights and stuff. But Jack helped him learn manners and from there he became a judge after going to college. At the end of the story the man that helped him become who he is, had Alzheimer’s. This is a true story and it takes place here in Salt Lake City Utah.
Explanation of rating: I gave this book 5 stars. I gave it this rating because I enjoyed reading this book. I also think that it was pretty cool that this book took place here in Utah. It was an awesome book it is a book that can help anyone who needs inspiration. The title of the book truly goes well with the message the book is tying to send out.
Favorite Passage: After a while the glow began faded and then darkened. The fire has been extinguished. Three ambulance seemed by, but more came from the city. The crowed started to dissipate, heading back to redwood road.
I love this passage because it has great detail. Of course the book has some that was better detailed but I thought that this one was pretty cool.
